Birdland Exhibition opens in Manly

Birdland includes a selection from my doves and pigeons series that were shown in New York. This is the first time that these works are being exhibited in Australia. The exhibition also includes my video work Nature is not a place to visit. It is home.

Thank you to those who came to a very intimate launch last Saturday night at the Manly Art Gallery and Museum, for my Birdland exhibition which runs until 20th June. ⁣

I would also like to thank the brilliant and generous guest speakers: Tim Olsen and the Deputy Mayor of the northern beaches council, Manly ward, Candy Bingham. And a big thank you to Ross from Manly Art Gallery and Museum for curating this exhibition. The speeches were held in the seaweed arboretum which is a beautiful exhibition by Turpin Crawford Studio @turpincrawfordstudio and Operation Crayweed @thetrueoperationcrayweed on now at the same gallery.

Thank you to @samsungau for the frame TVs.

And we made a street poster ! While they help promote my exhibition on now at Manly Art Gallery and Museum, I also wanted to bring beauty and art to our shared streets. There is a QR code which takes you to a brilliant essay on pigeons by Tim Low.
